My go-to breakfast for busy days ... fruit and veggie smoothies.
A couple of years ago I read a post on a blog that said you could attach a mason jar to the bottom parts of a blender and then just pop it on the blender and whirl and grind away.
In my smoothie this morning I have a collection of carrots, red cabbage, non-fat yogurt, a banana, a squeeze of honey, some non-fat milk and a few ice cubes. I Ran out of green grapes ... I read somewhere that the green grapes helps to neutralize the taste of the red cabbage. Oh well ... I love cabbage so I'll be all good.
Screw the top on tight and flip the mason jar over and then tap on the pulse button to grind and blend your smoothie.
And there you have it ...
A perfect energy drink for my busy day ... lots of project in the works!

My hubby makes me a shake similar to this every morning. Good guy, good shake.

Wow! What a cool trick. I did not know you could use a Mason jar in that way.

What a healthy way to start your day! Your smoothie is very nutritious, and it’s perfect for those who are keeping an eye on their weight. Non-fat yogurt and non-fat milk mixed with fruits and veggies? What else can I ask for?
